So very right about all the problems broadband is facing in India. Acutally, broadband is still in it's nascent stage with speed ranging from 64 Kbps to 256 kbps with most of the users fall into the bracket of using 64 kbps as it is cheap. For using 256 kbps one has to shell about Rs 900 per month which is definitely not a viable option for a middle class family with one or two internet users. THis is also the main reason that internet is not being harnessed as a great business tool by entrepreneurs to woo middle class consumers. Unless and until internet is very cheap and reliable and speed is good, internet will not be able to bring in the business it has in the west. Added to this, electricity is one big problem with long power cuts. But surely things are changing and in the time to come India will be at par with rest of the world. To look at the brighter side, this is the age of entrepreneurship in India and entrepreneurs are making it big here. Oppurtunities are immense and scope is mind boggling. So lets see this period of turmoil as the harbinger of the better things to come.
